
PublicStuff connects people and local governments to increase civic participation at the local level. The company provides an online portal, mobile phone application and software platform. The online portal and mobile phone application is available for users to submit and check the status of service requests; gather community and geospatial data; and collaborate with their leaders, community organizations and neighbors. The software platform allows municipalities to easily create an online presence and manage communication via the Web. PublicStuff aims to transform the relationship between citizens and their local governments, and to facilitate positive change in communities nationwide.
Model: Recurring revenue model based on an annual subscription fee that scales based on population. With a target market of over 50K municipalities that are too small to undertake an enterprise CRM system, Public Stuff sees a significant business opportunity.
Founder: Lily Liu. A committed social entrepreneur, Lily was selected for the NY Women Social Entrepreneurs Incubator. Her strong and balanced team includes a Masters in Public Policy, Carnegie Mellon who is teamed with a CMU Computer Science graduate and a Berkeley graduate with a strong marketing background.
